Ward Hogs
“The teardown of the year, executed with a scalpel”
Nobody in LOTF history has flipped a roster this fast. In one morning Ward Hogs sent Calvin Ridley (31) and Jahmyr Gibbs out the door and walked away with pick 1.02, Chase Brown, Geoff's third, Jonny's 2026 AND 2027 firsts, and their own second back. Then they drafted nine players. Carnell Tate at 1.02 is the prize, a 21-year-old alpha X receiver who slots next to Jeanty (22), Marvin Harrison (23), and Travis Hunter (23) in what is now the youngest elite core in the league. The round-3 run of Black, Claiborne, and Kaytron Allen is a dart-throw volume play, and Sarratt, Washington, and Branch give the WR room three more live tickets. Dak and Baker keep the lights on at QB while Cam Ward develops behind them.
THE HAUL
The haul-maker. Tate is a future top-12 dynasty WR and he cost them Gibbs, not their own slot.
Sarratt was a top-40 pick in Kenny's prep board. Fine value, crowded room.
A Raiders RB dart while rostering Jeanty. Insurance or hedge, either way thin.
Branch is a return-game gadget with real juice. Atlanta needs a Ridley successor. Wait, they traded him. Poetic.
Hurst is a Tampa slot flyer, acquired with a pick that was Geoff's this morning.
Kaelon Black, SF backfield lottery. Shanahan RBs always matter eventually.
Claiborne brings 4.3 speed to Minnesota. Taxi and forget.
Kaytron Allen was RB4 in this class on volume metrics. At 3.11 that is just good drafting.
Joly is a 21-year-old TE athlete in Denver. Free square.
Carnell Tate, 1.02. Top-three player in the class acquired for an aging RB premium, not original capital.
Mike Washington at 2.10. Vegas backfield dart with Jeanty already in the building; quantity started outrunning quality here.
3-YEAR OUTLOOK
Full rebuild, fast trackBottom four on purpose. Dak and Baker keep it from being embarrassing, but this season is about reps for Tate, Hunter, Gadsden, and the rookie RB stable. Every vet who spikes gets shopped at the deadline.
The turn. Two first-round picks including Jonny's, Cam Ward takes the QB1 seat, and Jeanty-Tate-Harrison-Hunter enters year-two-together chemistry. This is when they start winning games they are not supposed to.
The scariest projected roster in the league. Jeanty 24, Tate 23, Harrison 25, Hunter 25, Ward 26, plus whatever the 2027 double-first became. If the rookie RB darts hit even once, this is the title favorite.
STASH WATCH
Kaleb Johnson • Taxi. Pittsburgh gave him day-2 capital in 2025. One Jaylen Warren injury from relevance.
Isaiah Bond • Taxi. Cleveland WR room is wide open and he has 4.3 wheels.
Terrance Ferguson • Taxi. Rams drafted him to succeed Higbee. 2027 starter odds are real.
Justin Joly • Youngest TE in the draft class on a Denver roster with no long-term answer.
